Dear Members and Friends,
We celebrate our beloved country’s National Day on 16th August 2024 (our society’s 59th anniversary).
We are thrilled to host this National Day event at the exciting new Restaurant Fiz. Located in the historic center of Tanjong Pagar, Fiz is helmed by Chef Hafizzul Hashim who specializes in exploring South East Asian cuisine by merging the ancient and the contemporary. Many of the items are modern adaptations of his childhood and family recipes. Hafizzul's career trajectory includes prestigious stints in Michelin-starred kitchens such as Chez Bruce and Mirabelle in London, where he honed his skills alongside renowned chefs like Marco Pierre White.
Indeed this is the ideal menu for our National Day event. In addition, Restaurant Fiz has been included in the 2024 Michelin Awards with its first-ever Green Star. This will be a special IWFS Event at a Michelin-starred restaurant painstakingly curated by our Treasurer, Laurence.
Complementing this unique menu is a selection of our Society’s memorable wines. We will be presenting the First Growth Chateau Haut Brion 1999. Do book early as seating is limited. Members will have priority for the first 48 hours.
