Dear Members
Many of us have brought wines to our neighborhood hawker centers, and local “ZhiChar” and seafood restaurants. You must have tried to pair a good bottle with salted egg yolk crab or Peking duck. A bottle of two of bubbles and Pinot Noir are now common sights at famous Dim Sum restaurants. For our upcoming Bin End night, we will attempt to match some of our wines with Singapore cuisine.
Lets attempt and discover if the Meursault or Sauvignon Blanc will find good company with Fish Otak and Kueh Pie Ti. Or maybe the Sauvignon Blanc or an Echezeaux can tame the “lemark” and heat of Laksa? How about another grape variety other than Chardonnay to match our beloved Hainanese Chicken Rice?
In the midst of our exploration, there will be opportunities for you to bid for some of our prized bottle bottles in a silent auction. So bring cash, check book and not forgetting your appetite. And do come on time as we will be issuing coupons for bottles which we have just single bottle available for tasting. First come first serve basis.
