Dear Members,

As we move into the holiday season, it’s time to take out the tuxedos and the evening gowns for this year’s President’s Dinner, which will take place on 3rd December at the Atlantic Room of the Tower Club. The President’s Dinner is a celebration of the best of the Society’s cellar and is a fitting way to end another year of wonderful events and friendship

This year’s President’s Dinner is an all-French affair. We begin the evening with Pol Roger Brut 2002, and then start dinner proper with a 2007 Riesling from Hugel followed by a 2001 Bienvenue Batard Montrachet from Remoissenet. Moving on the reds, we feature a pair of Grand Cru Burgundies from Clos Du Roi in Corton, the 1993 Domaine Chandon de Briailles and the 1987 Domaine Michel Voarick. We then head to Bordeaux to enjoy a pair of lovely wines from the 2002 vintage, Chateau L’Evangile from Pomerol and Chateau Margaux from Margaux. We finish dinner this year’s President’s Dinner with a 1989 Sauternes from Raymond Lafon.

As this is the final President’s Dinner of my tenure, John Scott and Christina Lian have kindly donated the Chateau Margaux 2002 for this year’s President’s Dinner. On behalf of the Society and on behalf of me personally, I thank you both very much for your kind generosity.

I would also like to thank all members for their support of the Society throughout my tenure as President. It has been a pleasure and honor to serve as the President of a Society that has played such an important part in my time here in Singapore. Finally, I would like to thank the Committee Members for all their hard work this year and throughout my tenure. The Society is blessed to have each and every one of you.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the final President’s Dinner of my term.

As always, please book early to avoid disappointment. This is a Member’s Only event and is limited to 40 pax. Guests will only be accepted if there are spare seats.

When making your booking, please indicate your choice of beef or lamb as the main course. The default choice will be beef.
