The Berry Bros. & Rudd Dinner and Investment Talk
The American Club

Dear Members,

Have you wondered how to invest your money with equity markets breaking new highs and after numerous rounds of property cooling measures in Singapore ?

The Society is proud to announce its first ever wine investment seminar and dinner entitled “Fine Wine Investment: Where is the Smart Money Going Now?” Presented by Mr. Nicholas Pegna, Director of SE Asia for Berry Bros. & Rudd, Nicholas will examine recent trends in the fine wine market and give a view of where smart investors are turning to next, with a particular focus on artisanal wines. We will follow this seminar with a wonderful “East meets West” dinner paired with classic European wines. Do not miss this opportunity to hear from Nicholas about what he thinks is the next big thing in wines.

Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain’s largest fine wine merchant and has offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and London. Established in 1698, Berry Bros. & Rudd is a private, family-owned business, with the eighth generation of the Berry family currently involved in the business. Berry Bros. & Rudd occupies all areas of the fine wine trade, being an importer, retailer, wholesaler and fine wine broker. The company employs seven (7) Masters of Wine on its staff, more than any other wine company.

Mr. Nicholas Pegna joined Berry Bros. & Rudd’s Fine Wine Broking Department in 1998. He became Director of Sales of Berry Bros. & Rudd’s business in Hong Kong at its inception in 1999 and became its Managing Director in 2004. He took up his new role of Director - SE Asia in October 2011 and is currently responsible for the establishment of business in Singapore. He has travelled extensively in the wine-producing regions of the world including France, Germany, Italy and Australia and has written a monthly wine column for a French lifestyle magazine, “Living France”. Nicholas is also part of a small team which buys the new Bordeaux vintage every year for BBR globally.

We are grateful to Berry Bros. & Rudd for making this very interesting event possible and their generous sponsorship of some truly excellent wines. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
