Its' been a busy first quarter as usual, with 2 well received society events vying with the Chinese New year festivities. The photographs for the very enjoyable Beringer dinner at Binomio are attached – the happy faces of those attending reflect the sheer generosity in wine pours at that dinner!

For the month of March , I am pleased to present a journey through 5 decades of old world wines This dinner features wines from both the society's extensive cellar as well as that of our member Bernhard Steiner. We are grateful to Bernard for making some of his very rare and ancient Spanish rioja available to the society at cost for our enjoyment. Members fortunate enough to be present at the society's Spanish rioja dinner in 2012 were amazed at how lively these wines were despite their advanced age! The wines will be served semi blind and to top off the day's entertainment, we will be presenting the Steiner quiz with a valuable prize for the winner!
The venue for our AGM is once again the prestigious Tower Club with its remarkable view, being perched on the top of republic plaza. Executive Chef Frank Kilian, who helms the Atlantic Dining Room is well-known for his creative take on Modern Mediterranean cuisine. Frank has developed his personal cooking style emphasizing freshness, simplicity and top quality ingredients with a creative twist.
The society's AGM will commence punctually at 7.30 pm, followed by dinner at 8pm. Do take this opportunity to participate in the AGM and dinner and sign up early to avoid disappointment. As with our other hallmark events, this event is limited to members due to the limited quantity of rare wines available.
